Live The Dream

Live The Dream is the second single from Goodmonster's upcoming EP, Beautiful Illusion. This bold new track, produced to tickle the ears of any fan of 90's alt rock, tells the story of running on the hamster wheel of day-to-day life and grinding steadily towards a (hopefully) meaningful existence; the elusive mirage of living 'the dream'. With lines like "It doesn't matter if you're happy, you're a cog in the machine" and "leave your mortgage to the grandkids, let life's questions go unanswered", Live The Dream is written for those among us who feel disenfranchised and paralyzed by an increasingly complex modern-day life.

Goodmonster is an alternative indie band from the heart of the Inner West of Sydney. Enjoying previous writeups from Milky and Scenestr, multiple playlist inclusions on Spotify and appreciative crowds at their energetic, dance- and singalong-heavy live shows at The Great Club, Petersham Bowlo and Gasoline Pony, they spend most of their spare time writing, rehearsing and recording at Mixed Signal Studios in Newtown.

Goodmonster will celebrate the release of Live The Dream with a live performance at Moshpit on April 1st, 2023, joined by Q and Terrificus.
